If ast.mapspike is non-zero, spikes in the
time-series residuals will be identified by looking at the spread of residual values that contribute to each map
pixel. Any residuals that are above ast.mapspike standard deviations from the mean value in the pixel are
flagged as spikes. Parameter
"ast.mapspike_freeze" can be used to control the number of iterations
