2009-AUG-17: A patch has been released that fixes a problem in initializing FIGARO, DATACUBE, EXTRACTOR, PERIOD, and DIPSO. If you use any of these applications, download the patched profile file (21KB, md5sum: 81b0855a3fb2e7b2b0271b4f38347339). Copy it into $STARLINK_DIR/etc as profile, overwriting the file already existing in that directory. Note: this file has been patched twice; if you downloaded it after 08-Aug-2009 but before 17-Aug-2009, please download the new patch.
2009-AUG-11: A patch has been released that fixes two bugs in SURF/ADD_DBM where a NaN value was being written in the PIXSIZE FITS header, and where the input variance was being ignored. When you untar the patch it will create a surf_mon file. Copy this into the $STARLINK_DIR/bin/surf/ directory, overwriting the file already existing in that directory. Patches are available for:

2009-AUG-05: A patch has been released for GAIA that fixes a problem related to the libcurl library. If you are getting the following error message: Failed to load GAIAVO: couldn't load file /star/lib/libgaiavo4.3.0.so":libcurl.so.4: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory, then download the patch (8.5MB, md5sum: 4b87d3b95bcf5d889a8e1ced20ad5d1c). When you untar the file it will create a star-nanahope directory, which contains bin and lib directories. Copy the contents of these directories into your $STARLINK_DIR/bin and $STARLINK_DIR/lib directories, overwriting the files already existing in those directories. An alternative is to update your operating system version of curl or it may simply be that curl package is not installed.

2009-OCT-12: A patch has been released that supplies some missing functionality from the Starlink Java applications, specifically TOPCAT, COCO, RV, and FROG. To obtain these applications, download the starjava patch (146MB, md5sum: 38b2ada9c744c34371e831dc0c5d323b). When you untar the file it will create a star-nanahope directory, which contains a starjava directory, containing other directories (and so on down the tree). Copy the starjava directory into $STARLINK_DIR, overwriting the starjava directory and its contents (you may wish to back up your $STARLINK_DIR/starjava directory first).
